This project involved a single-story extension
to Connelly Hospital’s emergency department,
adding an isolation room suite and two emergency
resuscitation rooms, along with ancillary rooms,
as part of COVID emergency measures. Using
the Elliott Fast Track construction solution,
which includes a raft slab and prefabricated SFS
loadbearing structure with an SFS roof truss buildup, we mobilized on-site within two weeks.

The building’s external envelope features A1
Classi昀椀ed rockwool insulation render. The roof’s
tapered insulation system was completed in
昀椀ve days, making the building weather-tight and
ready for internal installation within 15 days of
slab pouring. The entire project was completed
in 22 weeks from start to handover, maintaining
the high standards required for an emergency
department.
